Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 August 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By registering a shop, downloading, installing, or using the Billing POS application, admin portal, or this website (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. What the Service is
Billing POS is an offline-first billing and shop-management application for local shops. Your business data (products, sales, customers, inventory, expenses) is stored locally on your own device. The Service also includes a lightweight cloud component for account registration, licensing, and subscription billing, described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Free trial
Every new shop starts on a 14-day free trial with full access to the Service, no payment required to begin. No charge is made during the trial.
4. Subscriptions and billing
- After the trial, continued use requires an active paid subscription (billed monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose).
- Current plans and pricing are shown in the app's subscription screen and on this website; pricing may change from time to time, and we'll show you the current price before you pay.
- Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your payment card or bank details.
- If your trial or subscription lapses, the billing/checkout screen locks until you subscribe or renew — your existing data (reports, sales history, products, customers) remains accessible and nothing is deleted.
5. Cancellation
You may stop using the Service, or choose not to renew, at any time. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how this affects billing.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to circumvent licensing, activation, or subscription enforcement.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service's backend infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
7. Your data
You own your shop's business data. Because it's stored locally on your device, you are responsible for backing it up (the app provides built-in backup tools for this) — we cannot recover data that only ever existed on your device if it's lost without a backup.
8. Intellectual property
The Billing POS application, admin portal, website, and their underlying software are our property (or licensed to us) and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or source code beyond what's needed to use the Service as intended.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is". While we work to keep it reliable, we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for every specific purpose. You're encouraged to keep regular backups of your business data.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Billing POS and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data that occurred because backups were not taken.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.
